Sausage, Potato & Kale Soup

My new obsession now is recipe books.  I currently have "The Pioneer Woman" Food from my Frontier cookbook in my hands and I love the format of this cookbook.  There are so many pictures, step by step pictures and many yummy ideas.  Yesterday I made a big pot of her "Sausage, Potato & Kale Soup".  It got a big thumb ups from both my hubby and 2 year old.
It reminded us of a similar version of Olive Garden's Potato & Kale soup.  This version is a little bit richer but very creamy!

I have several pages dog eared in this book and can't wait to make more.

Project Life 2013

I've decided to try Project Life {again}.  Last year I wasn't successful and gave up after one month.  I told myself that I wasn't going to put myself through that again, but after seeing all the wonderful PL albums out there I had to try again.  With the success of my December Daily, I'm going to stick with what works for me.  This year I'm going to use Studio Calico 6x8 handbook.  It's the same album I used for my DD, so I know this will work for me.  Working with a smaller album helps me not feel so overwhelmed.  I've created a section in my office for PL and even have a basket that I can pull out easily to do my layouts each week.
I'm still decided if I'm going to do weekly or monthly.  I'm 90% lean towards doing monthly and adding extra pages for months that have a lot going on.

I'm more organized than I was last year {that's a good start} and waiting for my album to come {which is Tuesday} so I can start this process.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I know I've been neglecting this blog for a LONG time but I'm hoping to change that in 2013.  This past year has been filled with lots of traveling, enjoying toddler time and going back to school.  I took a Maggie Holmes's photograph workshop and found a new hobby I enjoy!

This December I decided to do my first December Daily.  I didn't know if I would keep up with it or even finish it because it felt overwhelming but I'm so glad I took the leap.  I just finished the album last night and enjoying looking at all the activities we did in December.  I can't wait to see how much things will have changed when I look at in December 2013.

I used Studio Calico Handbook, Wonderland Inserts, Crate Paper sleigh Ride 6x6 paper pad, vellum die cuts and Studio Calico Kris Kringle Add On Kit.
